As part of our development plans, and for one of our very ambitious upcoming productions, QUANTIC DREAM wishes to recruit a Lead specializing in 3D character production whose responsibility will be to lead and manage both internal and external artistic teams to produce 3D Characters as part of a new competitive project.

You will be part of a dynamic and passionate team whilst having the opportunity to work on an ambitious and innovative project.

Under the responsibility of the project’s Artistic Director, and in close collaboration with the Production and Development/IT Programming teams, you will be in charge, in particular, of:

  • Guaranteeing visual quality and offering a high quality standard for this aspect of the game;
  • Delivering graphic assets whilst meeting deadlines and required quality standards;
  • Leading and supporting an internal team, and demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing;
  • Participating in the recruitment of new team members;
  • Providing the team with artistic support and technical solutions, as well as your vision of the game;
  • Producing top-quality 3D models in the artistic style defined for the project;
  • Considering the pipeline and improving workflows in order to achieve the technical and artistic aims of the project;
  • Working in cooperation with external outsourcers and being in a position to collaborate in order to maintain the game’s quality standards via reports, feedback and the production process.

 

Very good communication skills and the ability to manage a team are essential for this position. You will be highly motivated, rigorous, and very adaptable.

 

Required skills

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a manager of a 3D character production team. You already have experience in at least one published 3D game.
  • High level of ability in understanding proprietary tools and technology and anticipating production problems.
  • Management skills are required, with excellent verbal and visual communication ability;
  • Excellent knowledge of Maya, Substance Painter/designer and Photoshop CS
  • Perfect anatomical knowledge and ability to stylize.
  • Ability to work with painted textures.
  • Good knowledge of rigging and set-up concepts applied to animation.
  • Ability to preserve a good balance between visual quality and the specific technical requirements associated with AAA real-time games.
  • Collaboration with the project’s Artistic Director in order to create and maintain an artistic style and atmosphere to match the visual design defined for the game.
  • A good standard of written and spoken English is an advantage.
